1. What cookies are and what we use

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which we also use. We keep all of this to a minimum · we do not run third-party advertising, ad-retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not embed social media trackers.

2. Strictly necessary

These are required for the app to work and cannot be turned off in the product. They are set on the basis of strict necessity, so no consent is required.

• Authentication and session · keeps you signed in, refreshes your session and protects it. Set on sign-in, expires when the session ends or on sign-out.
• Security · protects forms and requests against cross-site abuse and enforces rate limits. Session length.
• Load and routing · used by our hosting to serve the site reliably. Session length.

3. Functional and preference

• Region and currency preference · remembers the pricing region you chose. Up to 12 months.
• Dismissal state · remembers when you close a banner, finish the walkthrough or hide a prompt. Up to 12 months.
• Dashboard preferences · remembers grid or list view, filters and sort order. Stored until you clear your browser.

4. Analytics

We record page views and feature usage in our own database rather than using a third-party analytics network. This is first-party, used in aggregate to see which parts of the product are used, and retained for a limited period. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not share it for advertising.

5. Local storage

Some features store data in your browser rather than in a cookie · for example recent vehicle searches, draft checklist answers and view preferences. This stays on your device and can be cleared from your browser settings. The browser extension stores your recent searches and sign-in token locally on your device for the same reasons.

6. Cookies set by others

Where we embed a third-party player or connect a payment provider, that provider may set its own cookies when you interact with it. Those are governed by their policies. We do not allow third-party advertising cookies on this site.

7. Managing cookies and your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and clear local storage there too. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop you signing in and using the app.

We honour Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals where your browser sends them, by not setting non-essential storage. Because we do not use tracking or advertising cookies, there is nothing to opt out of for advertising purposes.
